Photocatalyst has the main material of titanium dioxide. It is photocatalytic which produces a free hydroxyl radical and active oxygen with strong oxidizing ability. It has a strong photo-oxidation and reduction function and can oxidize and decompose some inorganic or organic compounds. It destroys the bacterial cell membrane and the protein that cures the virus, decomposes organic pollutants into non-polluting water and carbon dioxide. The photocatalyst is characterized with the oxygen molecules and water molecules in the air which are used to convert the organic substances into carbon dioxide and water. However, the nano substances do not consume themselves during the process. Therefore, they can promote chemical reactions, theoretically, valid for a long period of time and have low maintenance costs. At the same time, titanium dioxide itself is non-toxic and harmless. It is the safest and cleanest environmental purification material in the world, and is now widely used in different fields.
